SA Harvest and Restonic Partner to Restore Dignity at Tehillah Community Collaborative

By

In a powerful demonstration of purpose-driven partnership, SA Harvest and Sleep Group have joined forces to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to the residents of Tehillah Community Collaborative, a Cape Town-based NGO supporting vulnerable women, children, and elderly individuals.

Thanks to a connection made through SA Harvest’s national impact network, facilitated by Furnmart, Restonic, a proudly South African brand and part of the Sleep Group under KAP Industrial Holdings, donated 40 custom-designed mattresses to Tehillah. The handover, which took place on-site, was marked by celebration, music, and shared meals.

Furnmart not only introduced SA Harvest to Sleep Group, laying the foundation for this powerful partnership, but also generously donated high-quality mattress covers that were handed over alongside the mattresses. These covers ensured added comfort, hygiene, and care for the recipients.

These weren’t just mattresses. They were a sign that someone cares,” said Zee Mapoma, Digital Media Liaison at SA Harvest. “For women and children who’ve often lived in survival mode, this was about recognition and dignity.

Infrastructure Meets Impact

The mattress donation is the latest chapter in a growing collaboration between SA Harvest and Tehillah. While weekly deliveries of rescued food have long sustained the organisation’s nutritional needs, SA Harvest’s support has expanded to include infrastructure development aimed at long-term transformation.

Circular Economy Meets Compassion

Sleep Group’s commitment to sustainability is woven into their products, literally. The mattresses are made using 30% recycled fibre derived from textile industry waste, aligning with SA Harvest’s environmental responsibility and social justice values.

This partnership isn’t just about a once-off donation,” said Harley Caryer, Chief Growth Officer at DataOrbis and strategic connector in the initiative. “It’s about building a model where businesses and NGOs align around shared values and create lasting impact.”

A Day to Remember

As the mattresses were offloaded, Tehillah staff broke into smiles, laughter, and song.

Residents danced. Photos were snapped. And, in true SA Harvest fashion, a nourishing meal was shared with all in attendance.

This was a reminder that care comes in many forms: sometimes it’s a warm plate of food, sometimes it’s a safe place to sleep,” said Ozzy Nel, COO at SA Harvest.

Gratitude and Forward Motion

To Restonic and the Sleep Group, thank you for showing what corporate citizenship looks like when purpose is taken seriously. To Furnmart, thank you for being the bridge that made this collaboration possible and for your generous contribution of mattress covers that brought an added layer of comfort and care. To Tehillah, thank you for building a community of healing, every single day. And to every partner walking this road with us, thank you for believing that dignity is a delivery worth investing in.

SA Harvest doesn’t just deliver food. We deliver dignity. We deliver infrastructure. We deliver hope.
